Distinctions

  • Premium: best-ranked cider in each category.
  • Gold: 85 to 100 points.
  • Silver: 70 to 84 points.
  • Bronze: 60 to 69 points.
  • Premium ciders receive a trophy and diploma. Gold, Silver and Bronze receive a diploma and digital award labels in PDF.

Accompanying person price for the whole event: €270. Registration and payment for accompanying persons: exclusively through the SISGA website.

The organisation does not cover procedures or costs arising from customs, taxes, duties or any other cost related to sample importation.

Participation options for cider houses

SISGA offers two participation options for cider houses and producers: in-person and remote. Both allow ciders to enter the SISGA Awards and both are included in the blind-tasting system of the International Jury.

In-person participation

  • Presence of the cider house at the International Hall of Gala Ciders.
  • Participation in the SISGA’26 Awards and in the professional activity of the hall.
  • Direct contact with the public, professionals, press, institutions and other producers.
  • Samples required for competition and tasting, in sufficient quantity for assessment, service and public presentation. Around 800 people attend this event.

Remote participation

  • Entry of ciders in the SISGA’26 Awards by sending samples.
  • No physical presence of the cider house at the hall is required.
  • Samples must arrive correctly identified, classified by category and within the stated deadline.
  • Transport, customs, taxes or import procedures are the responsibility of each producer or logistics operator.

International Jury composition and system

  • The International Jury of the SISGA Awards is formed by one representative from each cider house taking part in SISGA.
  • Assessment is carried out by blind tasting: ciders are presented by category, without the jury knowing the producing cider house during evaluation.
  • SISGA Award distinctions are Premium, Gold, Silver and Bronze, according to the score obtained.
  • The organisation coordinates sample reception, classification and traceability to ensure neutrality during tasting.
